Welcome to the web site for Field Court C of E Infant School - We hope you enjoy your visit.

What is Golden Time?    It is an exciting Whole School event which takes place on Friday afternoons. Golden Time encourages the children to continue to work hard, improve their learning and general behaviour.

How does it work?  The children begin the week with 30 minutes each, which they can use for Golden Time on the Friday afternoon.  However, the children have to work hard to keep their Golden Time and follow the School Rules. If their peg reaches the cloud, they can lose 5 minutes each time!

Golden Rules - these are displayed around the school and in the classrooms.  The children are reminded of them and they try their best to keep to them.   We also have Golden Rules for lunchtime which are displayed in the hall.

Golden Coins - there are many reasons why Golden Coins are  rewarded.. They can be given to children who have worked well, completed work, tried hard, behaved well, helped others, walked sensibly around the school etc.  The children write their names and class colours on the coins and put them into the 'Pink Pig'.  On Fridays, at the Celebration Assembly, one coin is drawn out and the winner receives a Golden Prize!

Golden Sun - The children each have their name or picture on a peg which sits on the Golden Sun in their classroom.  If they break a Golden Rule, their peg is moved to the cloudy sun.  If they do it again, their peg is moved to the cloud and they lose 5 minutes of their Golden Time.

Golden Time Activities - the activities are organised by the teachers.  Y1 and Y2 share activities for the first few terms to give the Reception children a chance to settle in.  By Term 3, the whole school has twelve activities to share between them!

Celebration Assembly - at the end of the week, the whole school meet in the hall for the Celebration Assembly. One child from each class is nominated by their teacher to receive a certificate to celebrate something exceptional they have done during the week.  Children who have won awards for activities outside of school can also bring in certificates etc. to share their achievements.

Celebration Tree - This was made by our very own Art Club and is displayed in the hall.  Leaf shaped photos of the Golden Book Children are attached to the tree.  The display is changed every term.  Click on the tree to download a copy.

We think all of these activities are lots of fun and work well in our school.
